نظرة عامة على الرحلة

Join a small group for an immersive seasonal journey through Taif, where rose-covered valleys, highland farms, historic neighborhoods, and living traditions reveal a side of Arabia shaped by altitude, agriculture, and scent.

Each day follows the rhythm of the rose harvest. Walk through mountain farms as flowers are gathered in the cool early hours, meet the families who have cultivated them across generations, and follow the petals into traditional distilleries where they are transformed into fragrant rose water and precious rose oil.

The Taif rose is far more than a flower. Its cultivation has shaped local knowledge, livelihoods, food, fragrance, hospitality, and cultural identity. The harvest begins in early spring and lasts only several weeks, turning the valleys and farms surrounding Taif into places of intense activity, color, and fragrance.

Around the harvest grew an entire culture of cooperation and celebration. Songs and rhythmic chants accompany the work, while Taasheer brings the energy of the season to life through precise movement, collective performance, and the dramatic use of the traditional Al-Maqmaa rifle. More than entertainment, it reflects the pride, skill, and communal spirit connected to Taif’s agricultural heritage.

Beyond the rose fields, explore the wider cultural landscape of Taif through its mountain settlements, traditional architecture, local markets, regional cuisine, and the stories of the people who have long made these highlands a place of retreat, cultivation, and exchange.

Shared meals and visits with local hosts reveal the many ways roses enter daily life, from scented water and perfumes to drinks, dishes, remedies, and gestures of welcome. Their fragrance becomes a thread running through the journey, connecting the farm, the home, and the wider identity of the city.

Staying in comfortable accommodation and travelling at an unhurried pace, this journey is designed for participation, conversation, and genuine connection. It is an invitation to experience Taif during its most evocative season, through every field, fragrance, flavor, performance, and story.
