نظرة عامة على الرحلة

Join a small group for an immersive cultural journey through AlUla, a landscape shaped by ancient kingdoms, caravan routes, desert agriculture, and communities that have lived among its mountains and oases for thousands of years.

Over four carefully paced days, explore the monumental Nabataean tombs of Hegra, the remains of the ancient kingdoms of Dadan and Lihyan, the narrow lanes of AlUla Old Town, and the dramatic sandstone formations that define the surrounding desert. Each site reveals a different chapter in the region’s history, from early settlement and trade to pilgrimage, agriculture, and contemporary life.

AlUla’s importance grew from its position along routes connecting southern Arabia with the Mediterranean world. Merchants, pilgrims, and travellers passed through its oasis, carrying incense, spices, ideas, languages, and beliefs. The wealth created by this movement can still be seen in carved tombs, inscriptions, fortified settlements, and the remains of once-thriving communities.

Yet AlUla is more than an archaeological landscape. Its oasis sustained generations through date palms, citrus trees, wells, and carefully managed water systems. Its old homes, farms, oral histories, and local traditions reveal the human life that continued between the monuments and across the centuries.

Throughout the journey, local hosts and storytellers bring these layers of history into the present. Shared meals, walks through the oasis, encounters with residents, and evenings beneath the desert sky create space for conversation and a deeper understanding of the region.

Staying in comfortable accommodation and travelling at an unhurried pace, this journey is designed for discovery, reflection, and genuine connection. It is an invitation to experience AlUla not simply as a collection of historic sites, but as a living cultural landscape shaped by trade, memory, agriculture, and the people who continue to call it home.
