Join a small group for an immersive cultural journey through Al Dakhiliyah, from the historic towns and palm-filled settlements of Oman’s interior to the high mountain villages of Jabal Akhdar during the pomegranate harvest.

Each day unfolds through encounters with the land and the people who have shaped it: walking among terraced orchards, meeting farmers during the harvest, exploring old mud-brick villages, visiting traditional workshops, and gathering around tables where the season is expressed through food.

High in the Hajar Mountains, the cooler climate of Jabal Akhdar has allowed farmers to cultivate crops rarely associated with the Arabian Peninsula. Pomegranates, roses, walnuts, apricots, and other mountain fruits grow across carefully constructed terraces, supported by generations of agricultural knowledge and traditional irrigation systems.

The pomegranate harvest is more than an agricultural season. It is a moment of abundance, labor, exchange, and hospitality. Fruit is picked and sorted by hand, families move between orchards and homes, and the produce of the mountain begins its journey to village markets and kitchens across Oman.

Beyond the orchards, the journey explores the wider cultural landscape of Al Dakhiliyah.
